Instant planetary communication gives humankind the opportunity to transform itself into one worldwide plurilingual society. It is essential for the future progress of humankind that transnational dialogue should benefit from the wealth of diverse languages created by human beings around the planet. For the first time in human history, the languages of the world are beginning to talk directly with each other, thanks to the continuous & rapid progress of automatic translation tools. The Observatoire linguistique & its transnational voyage since the 1980’s

The Observatoire linguistique (Pluriplanet & Linguasphere Observatory) is a non-profit research network & transnational educational association which has been devoted since 1983 to the promotion of bilingualism & plurilingualism. Since the 1990’s, the Observatoire has pioneered the use of the term linguasphere (fr. linguasphère) to describe our planetary network of interactive languages, which is the most powerful & most collective creation of humankind.
